8/4/14 transferred to LHS. Picked up as a stray, ADA is really well-cared for, and her coat is slick and shining! Not a typical stray, so best guess is she was frightened by a storm or fireworks and took off. She is social with all the other dogs, stopping to meet and greet each one as she came in from a quick trip outside. She is so friendly and easy going and loves everyone she meets. She is about 2 years old and will make a great family pet! The policy for adopting an unsteriliized pet requires that you live in Campbell County, Lynchburg City, or a county touching Campbell County. If you are a resident of one of these areas, you may adopt directly from the facility and spay/neuter the pet yourself within 30 days, or by the time the pet is six months of age. If you live outside this area, the pet must be spayed or neutered before you can take it home. Kittens or puppies too young for spay/neuter may be adopted through Friends of Campbell County Animal Control. We will be happy to help you make arrangements to do this.
