9/22/14 Transferred to LHS. Lane came in as a stray from Melody Lane. He is about 2 years old and weighs 50 pounds. He is a very happy boy and pretty social with the other dogs. He is very friendly to all volunteers and loves to visit the playyard to check out all the interesting smells he can find. He is a handsome hound who has become Urgent because the shelter is full, so please come meet him today! The policy for adopting an unsterilized pet requires that you live in Campbell County, Lynchburg City, or a county touching Campbell County. If you are a resident of one of these areas, you may adopt directly from the facility and spay/neuter the pet yourself within 30 days, or by the time the pet is six months of age. If you live outside this area, the pet must be spayed or neutered before you can take it home. Kittens or puppies too young for spay/neuter may be adopted through Friends of Campbell County Animal Control. We will be happy to help you make arrangements to do this.
