Setter / Hound / Mixed : : Female : : Baby : : Large
Georgie is an adorable setter/hound mix puppy who came in with her siblings. She is safe in a foster home where she is getting well socialized with lots of other dogs and cats of all ages and sizes. She is 9 weeks old and just about ready to find her perfect, permanent home so fill out an application today and be ready to adopt her when she is!
UPDATE from Foster Mom 10/13/14: Remember the old-times song that begins, "Hey, there, Georgie Girl?" This Georgie girl loves to be snuggled and cuddled and sung to, and she doesn't care if you know all the words or just make something up. It's all about the human in her mind. She is 12 weeks old, has had loving at a foster home for the past 7 weeks, and is super sweet! Her bowed legs are because her legs were growing faster than her ligaments could keep up with, but they are slowly straightening out and she is feeling just fine.
This dog is in a foster home and not at the Campbell County Animal Control Facility. We always begin with an application to adopt, and this will be forwarded to the foster family for review. You can find this on our website, www.friendsofcampbellcounty.org.
Specific questions are most easily answered by email, info@friendsofcampbellcounty.org, or by leaving a voicemail for one of our volunteers at 434-485-6242.
APPLICATIONS ARE REQUIRED TO ADOPT. Go to www.friendsofcampbellcounty.org
The policy for adopting an unsterilized pet requires that you live in Campbell County, Lynchburg City, or a county touching Campbell County. If you are a resident of one of these areas, you may adopt directly from the facility and spay/neuter the pet yourself within 30 days, or by the time the pet is six months of age. If you live outside this area, the pet must be spayed or neutered before you can take it home. Kittens or puppies too young for spay/neuter may be adopted through Friends of Campbell County Animal Control. We will be happy to help you make arrangements to do this.
