Meet Ressa. She looks to be a Jack Russell Terrier/Shiba Inu mix. She is about 2 years old, weighs 18 pounds, and very friendly to all she meets. She is excellent with other dogs and even brought out the personality of one of our newcomers who was scared to death at the shelter. You will see how she helped scared Jinx in the video. Please come meet this wonderful dog today because due to the shelter being beyond full, she is now URGENT! The policy for adopting an unsterilized pet requires that you live in Campbell County, Lynchburg City, or a county touching Campbell County. If you are a resident of one of these areas, you may adopt directly from the facility and spay/neuter the pet yourself within 30 days, or by the time the pet is six months of age. If you live outside this area, the pet must be spayed or neutered before you can take it home. Kittens or puppies too young for spay/neuter may be adopted through Friends of Campbell County Animal Control. We will be happy to help you make arrangements to do this. For information on adopting this animal who is in care at the Campbell County Animal Control Facility, please call there: 434.821-4416. Hours are from 12 to 5 on weekdays and 11 to 4 on Saturday. Our process begins with an application, found on our website, www.friendsofcampbellcounty.org. Once your application has been received, a volunteer will call the references you list and then will contact you.
