12/9/14 Transferred to Green Dogs Unleashed-NJ. ROCKY is a five year old beagle/shepherd mix who is surprise-proof--in other words, you know what you are getting with him. You know he has lived with other dogs; you know he has lived outside but loves humans, and you know he is not going to grow any larger than his current forty pounds. You will be amazed at his gentle personality and his ability to roll with changes ... that's such a huge plus for a rescue. Now, reverse your thinking ... and let's SURPRISE Rocky by giving him a new home! ROCKY!! Rock on, Rockstar! We love you SO much! He just wants to play and be loved and have the chance to be a lap dog. The policy for adopting an unsterilized pet requires that you live in Campbell County, Lynchburg City, or a county touching Campbell County. If you are a resident of one of these areas, you may adopt directly from the facility and spay/neuter the pet yourself within 30 days, or by the time the pet is six months of age. If you live outside this area, the pet must be spayed or neutered before you can take it home. Kittens or puppies too young for spay/neuter may be adopted through Friends of Campbell County Animal Control. We will be happy to help you make arrangements to do this. Our process begins with an application, found on our website, www.friendsofcampbellcounty.org. Once your application has been received, a volunteer will call the references you list and then will contact you.
