Cane Corso Mastiff (short coat) : : Male : : Adult : : X-Large
Tonka, a one year old Cane Corso, is hanging out with us until he can be adopted. We were glad to get information yesterday about his breeding, his upbringing, his
preferences, and his vet care. We don't always require that you have large dog experience when you adopt a large breed, but since we have not lived with him, and rely on other people for input, in this case, we feel an experienced family is best. If we had been caring for Tonka ourselves for at least two weeks, we would feel differently.
Our concern about the "rubber" pieces he has been passing in his poop was answered yesterday. He is a giant puppy, and at home in a few minutes of non-supervised time, he had ingested a good amount of a gym mat before coming to us! They are passing easily, so that is a great relief. His human also brought his breed registration papers, and his vet records. We have started a deworming protocol already and are feeding him extra food to help pump him up. We found out he loves to play with other dogs, has not been exposed to cats, sleeps in a crate at night, is housetrained, and has been exposed to children as young as four years old.
He is not neutered, but is current with his vaccines and is microchipped. We love his big mushy face, and know you will, too. Apply to adopt here:
