“I’m Spirit! I am five years old, 28 pounds. I’ve been teaching my younger kennel mate Clover everything I know, and she and I have delicious conversations every night when the volunteers and the staff head home.

Some of the finer points she has learned from me:

Visitors love soulful eyes. Look sad and soulful even if you think it is a bit silly.

Play nice, and don’t argue over food and toys. There are plenty of each to go around!

Do your toileting in the outside run. Do I really need to ‘splain this??

Pray every night that you will be adopted!!”

[Spirit came to us as a stray and was pretty scared, which is where she got her name, but she has since then develop lots of confidence, and it’s happy to come out and visit the volunteers, go for walks around the parking lot, and visit with the other dogs. We are so glad to see her true loving personality coming out! we look forward to seeing how she does with other dogs, and get her placed in a home as quickly as we can.]

Our process begins with an application, found on our website, www.friendsofcampbellcounty.org. Once your application has been received, a volunteer will call the references you list and then will contact you.
