Laney has been with us for several months in foster care, and I don’t think we realized just how much activity she has left in her. She is an older dog, although we didn’t realize that at first. We think she’s probably closer to 10 or 11 years old than four or five that we thought originally. her teeth are worn down and not from trying to break through a kennel, but just from being a normal dog eating stuff. She is a smaller dog, about 45 pounds, and she would dearly love to have a place where she could run her heart out, and then come back and rest. That’s the dream of every hound, isn’t it? Laney is temporarily boarding in the very secure Alta Vista Animal Hospital because she made a great escape from her foster home when her foster mom stepped away.

We love Laney because she is so good with other dogs, and we would love to share her with you! Apply to adopt by going to our website. The link will be in the comments.

Sweetness rolled up in a hound body, with licks and love to spare! Hounds that come to us looking rough are usually the most grateful ones ever, and we appreciate their consistency and devotion. Laney has not had an easy life, but is clearly enjoying life as a pet, now that she has been groomed (she was such a good client for her spa day appointment!) and has been spayed. She  loves, giving appreciative face licks whenever someone is close enough to enjoy it. She will be a great companion for a family with kids.
