All we can say about Leona is how sweet she is! Since the day she came in, she has been sweet and loving to all of us. Even at seven to eight years old, she has so much spring in her step now we would never guess she was almost a senior. She is one who is so housetrained she can’t wait to get outside! She prances and dances when she waits for her breakfast, and has become a delight for the animal control officers to care for. Her coat has grown in beautifully and thick, and it’s a gorgeous, chocolatey color now. She is spayed, up to date on vaccines and microchipped and had her lumps and bumps removed, plus her dewclaws. We are looking for an awesome foster home for this girl while she waits for a permanent home. Leona has become dog selective as the months pass and she remains at the shelter. She does well with smaller male dogs, and puppies--she just LOVES puppies! She is also fine with kids. With an Easy Walker style harness, she is a dream to walk. She has been sponsored for adoption by one of our Volunteers who adores her! We don’t know if she is good with cats, but think she would probably play rough with one if she encountered one.
