UPDATE: It's been six weeks, and Glory is letting her true personality shine, like the charmer she has been all along. She is outgoing, happy to see new people, and sits waiting patiently to go out for her turn in the playyard or for a long walk with the volunteers. We adore her fortitude and her cute style of playtime.  She has done well with other dogs her own size, and we are thrilled to see her healthy and happy now, after her sad history prior to her being signed over to the shelter. Yay for happy girls, housetrained, and loving! Come see her so you, too, can fall in love!

Glory has come SO very far in the two weeks in care at the shelter! she is outgoing and social, waits patiently for a volunteer to take her out for a walk, and then waits patiently while the other dogs get their turns. She has been lovely with other dogs, and very happy to be alive. We were concerned that she might miss her litter of puppies, but we were told they are about three months old and quite frankly, she is done with him. Sadly, she was confined to a small area with them at the home, from which she was taken, and the puppies suffered mightily from it. they lacked enough sustenance to thrive, but Glory looks great. she is a gentle girl, doesn’t jump on the humans who take her out walking, and is alert and happy to be outside. She is heartworm negative, and at two years old is a perfect size without promise of getting any larger.

“At first I was afraid, I was petrified…” If this little dog could talk, she’d tell us that Gloria Gaynor’s anthem was written for her. Glory arrived at the shelter with four starving puppies. She had done her very best to make sure they all survived long enough to get to safety. The puppies have moved to a foster home to recover, and now it’s Glory’s turn to find her forever home. She’s about 25 lbs and maybe two years old. This little dog is a survivor, and for those of us who have danced around our handbags singing our hearts out, we know what that means. Glory has a lot of life to live and a lot of love to give. To take Glory home with you, start with an application from our website.
