Jaxson is new to our shelter. He is a four year old Wheaten Terrier. He will be vaccinated, heartworm tested, and neutered on Thursday. It was interesting but heartbreaking tracing his heritage: we discovered he originated from a puppy mill in Iowa (I’m ashamed that my home state of Iowa is one of the worst for puppy mills). I have apologized to Jaxson for the conditions in which he came into the world, and we have promised him we will do better by him. Jaxson does not appear to be well-socialized with new humans, nor other dogs, so everything is new and scary at the shelter. He is a nice size, housetrained perhaps, most likely will be happiest in a home with kids older than ten.
