Sisters by adoption, not by blood, and desperately wishing for a home, after being signed over to the shelter. When dogs come to us with a sad beginning, it makes it even harder on our hearts to see them struggling to find peace. We now know more about the origin of both. Harmony, the smaller younger girl, was adopted originally from another shelter, and although they are willing to take her back, they are in no better shape than we are space-wise, and Harmony would be stressed out to be away from her “sister,” Harleigh. Harleigh’s first mom passed away from a terminal illness, which is how Harleigh ended up in “the system.” My heart aches for her that she is now looking for another home, and at seven years old it can’t be easy. Both dogs are delightfully housetrained, and love being together. We understand that before they were signed over to the shelter, they slept together in bed with their owner. How devastating that they cannot have that again! We know adopting two large dogs together is More about Harmony: at the shelterGood with Adults, Quiet, Does Good in the Car, Does not require a yard, Leashtrained, Affectionate, Eager To Please, Intelligent, Even-tempered, Gentle
