Daisy was signed over to the shelter with her companion. Daisy is great with other dogs and has lovely social skills, from all we observe. She is definitely wanting to be part of a dog "pack," as she has been around many other dogs all her life.  She is thinking that being a thirty-pound lap beagle is absolutely fine, and tries as hard as she can to get on a human's lap! She may be a true snuggly-wuggly, but we can't promise until we know her much better.  Unfortunately, her plans for a home went haywire when we found out she is positive for heartworms. That is always upsetting, but we are already working on her treatment, and she can certainly be adopted while she is undergoing her treatment. If you are willing to take on a big lap dog with special needs, albeit temporarily, please apply to adopt here.
