You just can't get much more personable than George! His goal is to win the hearts of everyone who sees him! He was so very happy in his foster home where he lived in harmony with multiple other dogs of all sizes and ages. We know where he came from and are glad they didn't come back to retrieve this handsome boy! Housetrained, excellent with older kids (he is high-energy around everyone, so needs a home where the children will be calm and not excited about his presence.) Are you looking for a dog to fetch toys for you, to play in the yard, to take for a mountain hike to exercise, yet make you feel safe at the same time? George really would fit the bill!  After chasing the ball for a half hour, George still had the energy to go walking or jogging with his foster dad. He is like Ironman wrapped up in a blue body!

Because George has been in our care for so long, we just can’t give up on him. He has too much to offer a family. Why can we not locate that family? We’re not sure. His potential is so high! Even though he is a blue color, he does not have a typical skin issues that Blue coated  bully breed dogs often exhibit.  He adores meeting new people, and has no problems making friends with strangers. We recently took him on an outing as part of our new program, adventure dogs. George made a quick trip to the ice cream store where he ordered his own ice cream and then sat in the shade to enjoy it. He is such a gentleman! He is not rude or pushy, when it comes to sharing ice cream at least. As far as riding? Georgia adores going for rides in the car. He will be a great companion for a truck driver, and when it is time to take a break and rest, he will be happy to curl up next to you to do that.  Our challenge right now is to keep George happy and content and fulfilled while  we continue diligently searching for a home. Interactive games such as hide and seek with his favorite squeaky toy will also be fun for him!

Note: George was adopted, but returned to us after two months. We worked hard to discover the issue that caused his family to bring him back. It seems the harness they had chosen for him was not fitted for George’s body shape, and every time he was harnessed, he was in pain. He began snapping st his people, trying to communicate that he needed something else. We have had nothing but good experiences with this handsome boy since he came back to us! And we promised George never to cause him physical pain again! Perhaps your family is the perfect placement for him! Please contact us and let’s see.
